"The Turn Retreat changed my relationship

with Christ in ways I never imagined."

We know how it feels

to struggle with faith...

to feel disconnected, or to wonder if Christ truly sees you.

The Turn Retreat is a space designed for those seeking healing, renewal, and a deep connection with God. This isn't just another church meeting—it’s an immersive experience in nature where you will hear from speakers who understand your journey and have found peace themselves.

"It was an amazing retreat! Well done, Tatiana!" - Jenny Layton

Our Story maybe similar to yours…

Tatiana and Justin,

the founders of Turn Retreat, have walked this path themselves.

For many of us, faith has been a journey filled with questions:

Does Christ really care about me?

Why do others seem to have spiritual experiences when I don’t?

Am I worthy of His love?

I used to think spiritual experiences were for ‘other people’ – prophets, bishops, the ‘perfect’ ones. At times I felt abandoned, wondering if my struggles were big enough to matter to Christ or were they too big to be worthy of his concern.

I tried harder – more church, more rules – hoping to feel something.

But I hit a wall. The fear and shame only grew, and I questioned if I belonged.

Then I realized it wasn’t about perfection – it was about something different. Something that was there but in a way I had been missing.

Then I realized it wasn’t about perfection – it was about something different. Something that was there but in a way I had been missing.

That’s what The Turn Retreat is about – a safe space to ask questions, hear from others who have been in the walk of faith, even if it was wobbly, and together come to reunite and feel His love through nature, music, and community.

Now, I trust again. I’ve found peace and purpose I never thought possible, and I’m excited as we together can have an even greater personal experience while gathering with other voices in coming to know our very own Christ.

“Tatiana, The Turn retreat years ago had a lasting impression on my life and the way I started to see myself. I am still a work in progress, but I can’t thank you enough for the work you are doing.” – Amanda Chase

TR Campbell

TR Campbell's own journey of transformation from active addiction led him to the healing  powers of The Savior. Having been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day  Saints his whole life, he was inactive for nearly two decades.

While he fought addiction since he was a young teen, he never doubted his testimony in the gospel that was deeply  ingrained as a youth and of the foundational principles it teaches, as well as the message of Christ and of His restored church.

He served a mission in South Korea in the early 90s  and was married and divorce twice before meeting his eternal companion years later. He  loves the struggle of finding balance and inner peace amidst the beauty of change and  enjoys a life: happy, joyous, and free today.

Along his path of self-discovery, TR actively  participated in The Twelve Step Program and now serves in the addiction community in  several ways as a mentor and sponsor, as a service missionary for The Church's Addiction Recovery Program, and as a counselor for those who suffer from addiction and mental  illnesses. He is a native of Southern Idaho and loves his new life as a Utahn, with his wife,  Amber, and their dog, Copper.

Corey Brady

Corey Brady is a devoted husband, father, and business leader who prioritizes faith, family, and purposeful relationships. Married for 25 years, he and his wife have been blessed with five daughters. As a partner in TABA Collective, he and his partners are committed to creating meaningful connections through real estate, physical therapy, new home construction, property management, event centers, and more.

Corey’s journey—raising a family, building businesses, and navigating life’s challenges—has strengthened his testimony of God’s hand in all things. He emphasizes trust in God, the power of covenant relationships, and the blessings of a Christ-centered life.

At the heart of his message is the Atonement of Jesus Christ—not just for overcoming sin but as a source of hope, strength, and divine guidance. Corey believes that embracing Christ’s love allows us to experience true joy, deepen relationships, and fulfill our divine potential. He is passionate about helping others recognize their worth, strengthen their faith, and trust in God’s power to work miracles in their lives.

Katie Petersen

Katie Petersen is from Rockwall, Texas. She’s married to Tagg Petersen and is the mother of seven boys (1 in heaven and 6 here on earth). She loves baking and is especially famous for her chocolate chip cookies. A true Texan at heart, she never passes up a chance to enjoy tacos and Tex-Mex, always with a Diet Dr Pepper in hand. She finds joy in the beautiful chaos of family life, and loves being active to keep up with her energetic crew.

Katie’s faith in Jesus Christ has been her anchor through life’s greatest joys and deepest trials. Her journey through motherhood wasn’t what she expected; navigating stillbirth, miscarriages, and severe medical problems, including most recently a heart transplant for her 9 year old son. Through it all, Katie has clung to her covenants and the promise that

families can be together forever. She is a firm believer that miracles happen every day and no matter what life brings, you can continue to expect miracles.

Josh Clare

Josh Clare (b. 1982) was born and raised in Utah and has been an artist ever since his 5th grade elementary school teacher Mrs. Brady told him he was. He received formal training at Brigham Young University Idaho where he was introduced to oil painting, and blessed with mentors, instruction, and inspiration that will last a lifetime.

Blessed with early recognition and success his career has been one of continual learning and growth, and he thanks God every day for the ‘privilege of seeing the sun cast shadows.’ Josh lives with his wife and five children in Cache Valley, Utah.

“Behold, all these are kingdoms, and any man who hath seen any or the least of these hath seen God moving in his majesty and power. I say unto you, he hath seen him; nevertheless, he who came unto his own was not comprehended” (Doctrine and Covenants 88:47-48).

Paintings are magic. They really are. Somehow in the simple act of creation I engage in nearly every day a part of my desires, a part of me, gets stuck into the paint, and it stays there. It still fills me with wonder, even after 15 years of painting, but it really happens. And every once in a while I come across a painting done by a man or a woman who truly saw something, truly felt it and had to tell about it—and it changes me for good. That’s why I paint.

I live hoping to become the kind of man worth knowing, and I paint hoping that someday, someone will see the bits of me stuck there in my work—and be changed for the better. If there is anything in my work that is good—it’s because of and thanks to God the father of our spirits and His son Jesus Christ. As often as I forget it, I know that I am nothing of myself, and I’m deeply grateful that God has allowed me to live, and to paint.

Jim & Stacie Walton

Life rarely goes as planned, but with faith in the Savior, every detour can lead to something beautiful. Stacie and Jim grew up in Bountiful, Utah, and despite life taking them on very different, challenging paths, they eventually found their way to each other.

Stacie, a mother of four, navigated a difficult divorce after 20 years of marriage. Jim lost his wife of 22 years to Huntington’s Disease and was left to raise three children alone. Through heartbreak and hardship, they leaned on the Savior, trusting His plan even when it looked nothing like their own. Now, nearly 13 years later, their blended family includes seven children, six in-laws, seven (soon nine) grandchildren, and a deep gratitude for God’s guiding hand.

Stacie, with and degree and background in Marriage and Family Therapy, now  coaches remarried couples, helping them find joy in second chances. She has served in numerous leadership roles, always pointing others back to Christ. Jim runs a successful construction business but proudly claims his best role as “Mr. Stacie,” her biggest cheerleader and occasional high-reach assistant.

Together, they share a message of faith, resilience, and the joy that comes from trusting in God’s plan—even when it unfolds in unexpected ways.

Hannah Wheelwright

No one can get through this life without experiencing trials and difficulties. Faith in Jesus Christ is a powerful tool to get us through, but turning to Him doesn’t keep you exempt from struggling to feel His love and influence in the midst of the trials and the day-to-day.

It wasn’t until Hannah and her husband wanted to start a family that she learned her own efforts wouldn’t be enough for what would lie ahead. Chronic medical conditions, disabilities, and continued care turned life upside down from what she expected it to be. Continuous trials, questioning belief, challenging faith, anger with God... Hannah learned she had to turn to Christ and combine her efforts with His to make this new way of life doable for her family and accept all of its unique beauties.

Hannah is a registered dietitian with a masters degree in administration, wife, and mom to two sweet kiddos. In her free time she enjoys cooking, thrifting clothes, running, and enjoys adding new plants to her collection. She calls Brigham City, Utah home.

Bryant Thompson

Bryant Thompson is an organizational psychologist and professor at Weber State University.

He is also the faculty athletics representative at Weber State where he helps ensure student-athlete well-being. Prior to going to Weber State, Bryant taught leadership at the United States Military Academy at West Point. He received his PhD from the University of South Carolina.

His expertise is in relational connection, thriving, resilience, and well-being. He served as bishop of the Pleasant View 12th Ward of the Pleasant View Utah Stake from 2015 to 2020. He currently serves as the Stake Young Men President of the Brigham City West Stake. Bryant and his wife, Teresa, are the parents to five children, Bry, Sam, Matt, Tess and Hannah

Brandon Pak

Raised by a father in the armed forces and with Korean biracial heritage, Brandon has lived all over the world. As a young man, Brandon Pak earned a songwriting degree at the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston. After spending some years evaluating what he really believes, he took a two-year hiatus from music to serve a Spanish-speaking mission in California.

Now returned from his mission, married, and with a new baby daughter and one more child on the way, he explores themes pulled from the highs and lows of his faith journey and from this exciting new chapter of life as a young father. His path through questioning and ultimately discovering his testimony for himself has given him a unique perspective on the light and joy of fully embracing the gospel, and his sense of hope and optimism comes through on every song on his latest album called Worth Saving.

Brittany Bell

Brittany Bell suffered from an extreme eating disorder and addiction for 7 years.

On the outside it looked as though she had everything going for her-  She sang as a lead singer in a country band performing in amphitheaters all around Utah, was a Utah Jazz Cheerleader,  studying psychology in college and had a fun and adventurous social life.  But behind the scenes, the secret of her eating disorder and addiction held her captive.

She tried every single day to overcome this incredibly lonely disorder-bulimia nervosa, that only she knew about.

She tried everything, for 7 years, but it wasn't until the night she pled with God to bless her with the strength of Christ to overcome it that she was finally able to.

Since that night years ago, she has been bulimia free and describes her story as her "Blind Man story" because, to her, the miracle of her healing was as real and miraculous as the Bilnd man's.

She is now 14 years free and uses her story to inspire others, and spread the good news that Christ is real, His power is real, and that you can get through or overcome anything because of Him.

Paige Greenwood

has experienced profound loss as a mother, grieving both her 18-year-old daughter and her 18-hour-old grandson. She is grateful for the opportunity to share her testimony of the healing power that only God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost can provide. She offers her personal experiences with loss, healing, and exercising faith in the Savior to help others navigate life's trials.

Married for 37 years, Paige raised seven children while serving in various roles, including seminary teacher, health educator, and community gatherer. A retired military wife of 23 years, she moved every three years, embracing change while building a strong foundation of faith and resilience for her family. She graduated from BYU with a degree in Health Education and was thrilled to be a presenter at the BYU Women’s Conference in 2023.

Currently serving as the Kingwood Texas Stake Communications Director, Paige finds joy in connecting people, building community, and strengthening faith through the gospel of Jesus Christ. She enjoys serving others, running, reading, traveling, hiking, exploring, laughing, listening to music, reading the Book of John, visiting her growing number of grandchildren (soon to be 15!), and making friends wherever she goes.

Paige is currently writing a memoir testifying of God's goodness in loss—how she has learned to witness the enabling power of Jesus Christ daily. Though she didn't receive the miracles she once prayed for, she has recognized that miracles have come nonetheless.

emily allen

Emily Allen lives in Perry UT with her husband Hal. She has 2 kids and a new Daughter in law. Emily loves being active and being with her family. After experiencing her own faith crisis, Emily dug in and learned about who she is and where she can find peace.

Yoga and meditation practice have taught her so much about accepting who she is as a child of God and trusting the plan He has for her. She continues to learn and grow and is always striving to see the good in everyone and everything and help them see what they have to offer.
